WHY RUSH?

Tau Kappa Epsilon offers everything great about a fraternity, and then some. We strive to excel in academics, as well as establish a great social base of brotherhood, and we achieve in both. In Tau Kappa Epsilon, there are six primary reasons that set us apart from others.

OUR CHAPTER

Our close-knit brotherhood offers a great sense of opportunity that many other fraternities cannot offer. There is plenty of opportunity for you to express your individuality here in Tau Kappa Epsilon. You don't need to worry about losing your individuality to some group conformity. On the same hand, you get everything a brotherhood has to offer, along with a combination of close fraternity-style living, where everyone is close by, and apartment-style living, where you're in an upkept and maintained facility, giving privacy when needed.

POST-COLLEGE BENEFITS

A fraternity is not just a group you are in while you are in college. It is a group of lifelong friends. The Alpha Zeta Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon has initiated over 1700 men since 1928, and continues to be a source of friendship and lasting networks throughout your lifetime. Many of our alumni from coast to coast keep in touch with each other, and with the undergraduate chapter. They still have an influence on operations today, and can provide a great network to meet people for future jobs after college.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Q: I don't want to join a fraternity because I don't want to lose my individuality.
A: In Tau Kappa Epsilon, we offer you your own fraternity experience, not ours. You get to shape how your time in the fraternity will be spent, as well as pursue chair and officer positions of your choice, and help leave your own lasting mark on the Tau Kappa Epsilon tradition.

Q: I don't want to join a fraternity because I am worried about my grades and my future beyond college.
A: In Tau Kappa Epsilon, we want you to excel in academics. We have programs and resources that encourage you to boost your GPA, and in fact put an emphasis on your grades. We want our members to succeed in life, and we help prepare you for that. We have many notable alumni including Ronald Reagan, Terry Bradshaw, Willie Nelson, Charles Walgreen, Conrad Hilton, along with many others. Tau Kappa Epsilon helps promote whatever your future goals may be. Our chapter during the Fall 2007 Semester was 7th out of 41 fraternities in member GPA, and was 4th in Fall 2006.

Q: I'm here to have fun in addition to my schoolwork.
A: Of course you are! The last thing we want you to do is be bored while you're in college. That's why we all live in neighboring apartments, a.k.a. "The TKE House," so we can easily do many of our daily activities together, anywhere from going out to lunch, to seeing a movie, to holding a party. We want your time in college to be a good memory, not a boring one.
