Tau Kappa Epsilon proudly sponsors a local youth soccer team from the Greater Lafayette Recreational Soccer Alliance. It shows Tau Kappa Epsilon's committment to health and fitness, in addition to promoting the next generation of outstanding athletes. 2008 was the first season that we chose to sponsor this team, and due to its success, it is our plan to continue this for years to come.
Tau Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity has adopted the Alzheimer's Association as an official TKE philanthropy, partnering with the Ronald and Nancy Reagan Research Institute that was established in 1995, one year after Frater Reagan announced to the world that he had Alzheimer's. The International Fraternity has committed to raising $240,000 for the Ronald and Nancy Reagan Research Institute. In order to reach our goal, TKE has developed a springtime philanthropy called Run for Reagan. To help raise this amount, the brotherhood of the Alpha Zeta Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon will donate funds each academic year, and is currently planning an annual a 5-mile relay race through various streets of the Purdue Campus during the Spring Semester. If you or your organization/business is interested in participating, please contact Dylan Huber-Heidorn by e-mail at dhuberhe@purdue.edu. |
